India’s first Integrated Data Center & Technology Business Park: Adani Group is going to build India’s first Integrated Data Center and Technology Business Park in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is being built to develop the local technology ecosystem, which will benefit the country as well as the state. The foundation stone laying ceremony for this park took place in Visakhapatnam on 3 May 2023 and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was present in the programme.

Karan Adani, CEO and Wholetime Director of Adani Port and SEZ, along with Rajesh Adani, Managing Director of Adani Group, were also present in this foundation stone laying program held on 3 May. Through this project, not only will job opportunities be created for the local people, but it will also connect Visakhapatnam with the Asia-Pacific IT ecosystem. This park will not only be a data center but it will also work as a technology and business park as well as a skill development center. This will be the first center to connect Vizag to APAC (Asia-Pacific).
Whose joint venture is this data center park
The park will have a 300 MW integrated data center facility and will be operated by a 50:50 joint venture between EdgeConnex and Adani Group. The park will be completely operated through 100 percent renewable energy. It will develop strong submarine infrastructure as well as terrestrial operations and will be associated to develop cloud and emerging technologies in the region. This integrated facility will be the largest hyperscale data center in the country.
