India-Pakistan Trade: Trade between India and Pakistan may be officially closed, but between April and December 2022, a total of $ 1.35 billion trade (India-Pakistan Trade) took place between the two countries. Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel has given a written reply in the Lok Sabha giving information about the trade between India and Pakistan. He told the Parliament that in April-December 2022, there has been a total trade of $ 1.35 billion between the two countries, which is almost double from $ 516.36 million in the financial year 2021-22. Along with this, he also presented the account of India’s trade data with China in front of the Parliament. There has been a total trade of $ 87 billion between India and China in April-December 2022.
Increased trade between India and Pakistan
Talking about India-Pakistan trade, after the year 2019, maximum increase in trade has been seen between the two countries. In the year 2019, after the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan had officially decided to stop trade with India. After this decision, this is the first time that there has been an increase in trade between the two countries.
How much business happened in the year 2019-20
After the removal of Article 370 in the year 2019, trade between the two countries had almost stopped. In the financial year 2020-21, only $ 329.26 million was traded. Whereas in the year 2019-20 it was 830.58 billion dollars. In the financial year 2021-22, it had increased to $ 516.36 million. At the same time, by April-December 2022, it has increased to $ 1.35 billion.
