Every Second Iphone Will Be Manufactured In Indian By 2027

Apple iPhone: In the manufacturing of iPhone, India is preparing to give a big challenge to China’s supremacy. By the year 2027, out of every two iPhones manufactured in the world, one iPhone will be manufactured in India. According to statistics, iPhones worth $2.5 billion have been exported from India between April and December in this financial year, which is more than double that of the previous financial year.

At present, India’s share in iPhone manufacturing is less than five percent. But by 2027, one out of every two iPhones will be made in India. This analysis has been reported by the South China Morning Post. Earlier, JP Morgan had said that by 2025, 25 percent of iPhone manufacturing would start in India.

iPhone maker company Apple has also started manufacturing of its latest iPhone in India. The government has brought PLI scheme to promote electronics manufacturing. Whose iPhone maker Foxconn has also taken advantage. According to an estimate, in 2023, there could be a 150 percent jump in the iPhone manufactured by Foxconn. And 40 to 45 percent of the iPhone will be exported from India, which is currently only between 2 to 4 percent. At present, Apple manufactures the basic models of iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 in India.

Soon Tata Group will also be seen manufacturing iPhone in India. Tata Group will be the first Indian company to manufacture the iPhone. Tata Group is going to buy Taiwan’s Wistron Group plant located in South India. It is believed that this deal will be completed soon. After which Tata group will make iPhone in India in association with Wistron. The Tata group will have the largest stake in this joint venture. China currently has the biggest dominance in the manufacturing of iPhone. 85 percent of the total iPhone is manufactured in China.
